Confidence Sessions

East of England Paddlesports are pleased to offer our unique ‘Confidence’ Sessions.

Join us for a lesson like none before, our instructors will talk you through falling procedures, cold water shock, self recovery and rescues.

Working via time slots, small groups will be instructed for 30 minutes, then let free to self practice - so this is not for beginners, however this is for people who are wanting to better their personal skills, gain confidence and have a laugh!

This is something we are taking on the road, so as long as we can fill spaces, we will travel to your destination! Contact us here to discuss your booking. £15 per person. Minimum numbers are required. Board hire can be arranged, though practicing on your own personal equipment is preferred.

The falling in and self rescue session was a real turning point for me. Before, I was terrified of falling in and it was a barrier to me really enjoying paddling. During the session Oli made me feel safe and gave clear guidance. Within 20 mins or so I was paddling on the (fairly choppy) sea and it was amazing. I fell in and didn’t care...I was having fun! Since then my confidence has soared, I cannot recommend these sessions enough!

When I went to a falling session organised by Oli, although I was a fairly confident paddler I found getting back on the board hard work. As soon as I arrived I found Oli to be engaging and friendly, once in the water he was a good instructor while instilling confidence in everyone on the session. He encouraged everyone to fall in as often as possible while picking up on anything to make it easier to get back on the board. By the end of the session I felt a lot more confident, thanks Oli

Oli put on some confidence building sessions late summer of 2020, where falling in was the aim of the game. I’m very anxious about falling in and not being able to get back on being new to paddling. This was the perfect session for me. Safe space to fall and given guidance on how to get back on. I left with the confidence to try again and ended up standing for most of my next paddle for the first time
